This is an extraordinary opportunity to purchase what is believed to be the only remaining 18 P in the world.
The 18 P was the first pure competition aerobatic aircraft designed by the Yakovlev design bureau in Moscow. It made its debut at the 1960 world aerobatic Championships and at the 1962 world Championships for aircraft gained 2nd/7th/9th and 10th places, while in the 1964 world Championships, the women's team were placed 1st/2nd/3rd/4th. Although a number of aircraft were originally manufactured – possibly 100 – we believe that this is the only remaining aircraft in the world, and as such is clearly a very desirable aircraft.
This aircraft has been totally restored to an extremely high standard as can be seen from the photographs. So this has included a total airframe overhaul, a zero-timed engine. Unfortunately the owner of the aircraft has become ill and has decided not to complete a number of points on the aircraft and simply sell it as it is. Some items are missing such as flexible hoses, propeller governor, exhaust clamps, engine mounting ring, a couple of instruments and warning lights, minor canopy parts, seat belts et cetera. A full list of items required can be provided.
The aircraft is currently in the care of Termikas company in Lithuania – probably the world's experts in the restoration of Yaks, and they are well equipped to complete the aircraft to a perfect standard. A quotation from them could be obtained for any interested purchaser.
For this exceptional aircraft, we are asking Euro 65,000, and we are sure that after completion, the value will be dramatically higher. No taxes are applicable. Please contact us for further information.
