Our 1970 Agusta Bell 206A, G-PMGG, is now available for sale due to a planned upgrade in 2024. This machine has undergone several upgrades, including a recent avionics upgrade with Avidyne IFD 540 Nav/com GPS with Glide slope, Avidyne Audio Panel, Avidyne Mode S transponder, and Trig 833 Radio. In 2022, the interior of the aircraft was replaced with a Generation global kit, featuring Beige leather seats and new black over carpets. This 206 runs a C18 engine, which is both fuel efficient and is not limited to starts with good remaining times. It has also recently undergone a corrosion-free turbine check. G-PMGG has an interesting history, as it was originally purchased by Colonel Gaddafi and comes with additional features such as a sliding rear door and a roof-mounted machine gun mount, which is still intact. It has also appeared in various media productions, including the 1984 Treasure Hunt in Malta with Anneka Rice and a guest appearance in Emmerdale. For those looking for their first turbine or a well-sorted, affordable 206 with good remaining times, G-PMGG is a fantastic option. The airframe has fewer than 5500 hours, making it one of the lowest timed examples in the UK. In 2022/23, an Agusta Bell approved scheme was applied to the aircraft’s fuselage, addressing age-related roof soft spots and whilst undergoing these works, the Bell dealer applied corrosion repaired to both the bathtub, baggage bay and battery bay. Final paintwork to the fuselage and rejuvenation of the aircraft’s overall appearance will be completed in early 2024. Additionally, G-PMGG will receive a new battery and LED position lights, along with a new annual and ARC. This aircraft can be sold on the UK’s G registration or, if needed, with an export Certificate of Airworthiness. (Part exchange for R44 possible )
